A Plus Aluminium is fully accredited with BSi as a Quality Assured company. Our procedures across our entire business ensure that we handle your order correctly from the moment we receive it to the moment it leaves our factory.
In early 2009 we added BSi Kitemarks to our range when we were awarded:
- BS4873 ‘Specification for aluminium alloy windows’
- BS7950 ‘Specification for enhanced security performance of casement and tilt/turn windows for domestic applications’
- PAS023-1:1999 ‘General Performance requirements for door assemblies to dwellings’
- PAS024-1:1999 ‘Enhanced security performance requirements for door assemblies (single leaf doors).
In addition we have also been accepted as an accredited member of the Police ‘Secured by Design’ initiative and can offer you products with Police security preferred specification and certification.
Changes to the Construction Products Directive from a voluntary arrangement to a mandatory one in 2010 means that to supply windows and doors in the UK, companies must have a recognised quality assurance system in place. A Plus Aluminium’s systems meet all of the requirements of the Construction Products Directive and we proudly carry the widely recognised CE quality mark.
A Plus Aluminium offer an ‘A’ rated aluminium double glazed window. We have systems that carry Window Energy Ratings and now offer an ‘A’ rated aluminium double glazed window with an affordable glass specification. This is a major achievement and one which gives you even more choice of energy saving and money saving to offer to your customers. The ‘A’ WER has been achieved by the combination of super insulated outerframe and warm edge spacers. This new standard window is now available, for more information please contact us.
Following the successful completion of the programme’s rigorous business reviews, which in addition to notified third party audits, ensures that the systems we fabricate and install are fully compliant with the necessary regulations, including EN12101-2, A Plus has become an SE Controls Certified Fabricator Partner, allowing us to fabricate smoke ventilation systems under the correct procedure.
The CWCT ‘Standard for systemised building envelopes’ gives a framework for specifying building envelopes and provides a ‘specifiers checklist’ showing information that will change from project to project including internal and external environment, air permeability, thermal performance, access and safety and design life. Both the National Building Specification (NBS) and National House Building Council (NHBC) standards are based on the CWCT ‘Standard for systemised building envelopes’.
